Pärnu, the hosting city
Pärnu is the charming resort town in Western Estonia with long traditions, called Estonian Summer Capital. Pärnu has many spas and Estonian most popular beach. It’s 4th biggest town in Estonia.
Pärnu’s fame as a rehabilitation and holiday resort dates back to the middle of the 19th century. The long tradition of as a resort has made Pärnu well known in Finland and other Scandinavian countries. Today, there are also popular surf clubs right at the beach in the Pärnu.
During the winter, the Gulf of Pärnu is a popular ice fishing area.
Pärnu has quite many good restaurants and pubs, also a famous concert hall. Walking around you can see many wonderful buildings, mostly from the beginning of 20th of century.

Pärnu is located between Riga, Helsinki and Stockholm and the easiest to get here by air is by flying to Tallinn, Estonia or Riga, Latvia. Pärnu is almost half-way between the two, on the international Via Baltica or E67 road, only a couple of hours by car from each (140km from Tallinn Airport, 200km from Riga Airport). The largest port of Estonia is in Tallinn where ferries from Helsinki arrive at almost every hour, making Helsinki Airport also an option.
